Dear All, I've just accepted a new job in a school using Progresso. I have only used SIMS until now. Does anyone have any advice to help me prepare for my new challenge?

Thanks for the reply Sivadam. I've tried before and tried again yesterday but that optoin doesn't seem to work. Only the manipulation of the dates by the Parent has any effect on the data displayed.

Is there any way of setting SIMS SLG to only report a particular Result Set of Aspects displayed on the Assessment part of a Student's record? Our parents are not adept enough to change the dates to show the correct data. The only way I can see of ensuring only the assessments from the correct half-term are shown would be to copy the assessment data to Aspects that are purely for showing on the SLG and then destroying said Aspects when we move to a new assessment period. This seems un-necessarily time-consuming and a right pain in the fundament. Any ideas?

This happened to us a while back. The only way I found to reduce the instances of crashing was to print the reports after school closed when there was minimal SIMS use. That led me to assume it was a database timeout that caused the crash. Didn't have to get to the bottom of it as the solution was a patch sent from Capita. Now it only crashes about 5% of the time.
