We are using a program called RemoteControl by Chris Tschantz. It works similar to your .net app. Here is the authors "How it works" Info.: >This program is written in Visual Studio (2012) using .Net Framework 3.5. >It currently uses TightVNC server along with RealVNC viewer. >It also uses WMI to run actions on the remote device via command line. This is an acceptable approach since we dont need anything on the remote device to have >Desktop Interaction. (Like for example starting notepad.exe and actually seeing it on screen). Essentially it copies and starts a VNC server and connects to it. Requires domain admin rights and all that. Obviously, hooks directly into the user session, no warning or indication. At the end of the session it uninstalls the VNC server. Works most of the time and saved me lots of walking. There are several version's floating on the internet, I have got Version 1.7.4 which is from 2013.

Why not use iSpy. We are using it with a variety of IP cams, it works and records every move.

We have just replaced our 13 Cisco WiFi AP's with Unifi Pro. So far only minor problems (setup mistakes). A bit to far visiting us (coming from Mars), but you can PM me if you need more info's.

Thanks for that. I have tried to change from DHCP to static, but it does not let me. There must be some settings on the server, which blocks some java functions. I will investigate further. BTW, at the end of May 2013 I have 10 full functioning Cisco 1200 AP's for sale, including PSU and wall mounting bracket! Anybody interested? Send me a PM.

We just started to replace our 13 Cisco 1200 AP's (all PoE) with Unifi Pro's. We bought them from WiFi-stock.co.uk for about £130.00 each (incl. shipping, excl. VAT). The new controller SW 3.0 was installed on a windows 2003 server. Uploaded a map of the school and every time we install an other Unifi AP and it shows up in the SW controller, I place it on the map. Very easy. The change from Cisco AP's to Unifi AP's on the fly was completely unnoticed by staff and student's. Only problem is that I have not found where I can change the IP address to a static IP address. Apart from that I am very satisfied with the Unifi Pro AP's up to now.

Maybe we should have a look into the year 2012 sales figures of Serco Learning, which might explain this sale!

Nope, we were in the process of switching over in the halfterm holidays (2 times delayed already). Got the dreaded phone call today, saying they will not transfer us to progresso until the problems are solved. We are expecting a date in late 2013!

We hardly getting any support from SERCO regarding our e-portal problems. They say they had to put all support to progresso.....I assume they are busy to sort their prison service out! I am quite sick of this ever demanding HW upgrading CMIS, long support phone queues and no fixes except upgrade your hardware. If I had to make a decision what SIS I would go for, it would not be Facility nor SIMS! Had them both!! Well, that's my personal opinion!

Same here. We have so many problems with e-portal that we were looking forward to an improvement with progresso, but now they have dropped the migration 3 times and we are looking into end of next year if SERCO ever get it right. We are now looking into alternatives. Regards Wolfi

Just want to update. Our expensive paxton system is now reduced to a cover lock from saturday to sunday. Our maindoor is controlled with a SALTO lock as well as an other 3 doors. We are now able to issue only one access card, controlled by as many calendars,timezones,timeperiods, etc as you like, which was not possible with the paxton system. Our SALTO solution now comprise of 3 wifi access points (control of 6 doors), 1 wired access door and 3 non wifi locks. We will continue to expand the system. I was never before so confident in a system like this. Next will be controlling an all weather pitch.

We have just started putting SALTO locks in; easy to install (just replace the door handles), powered by 3 AAA batteries (good for 20.000 openings) The SA version is around £240 per door (need a programming device PPD) The WiFi version is about £330 per door and you need a gateway (SALTO access point) for £145, but than you have live access to the door. They are using mifare cards or fobs (whatever you like). I wish I had seen the SALTO system a year ago, before we fitted a paxtan net2 front door access system in (£2700), which of course is only compatible with paxtan cards. Over all costs for 3 SA locks and 3 WiFi locks including SW (SQL DB), card reader for registering the card), gateway,PPD and 100 mifare cards =£2525 (thats £420 per door)

Have you installed webmin? This one of the best webbased remote server control. In webmin goto servers>>squid>>start/stop Squid

You are not alone on this. We have experienced the same. Pages are loading slow, not at all or only after the second reload. This is with NYCC and we are considering now to get a ADSL backup connection in.
