  1. I have recently deployed RDS with Per User cals on Server 2012 R2 and for some reason I can only connect from a single user account at a time. I have tried to reinstall RDS services a few times and according to RDS Licensing Manger licenses are being issued correctly. I can connect from user accounts successfully as long as there are no other user connected. If one user is connected then all others will just hang when trying to connect. I have checked connection limits with no success. I am not sure where else to look. I have Googled everything I can related to the problems and everything seems to be as it should be, except for the small fact it is not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Check our RiseVision, they have Google integrated display options that support Google Calendar if I remember correctly.
  3. We started using Rise Vision which integrates with our Google Apps domain very well. Please so far and best of all free!
  4. What version are you running? We had the issue a few months back with 7.7.3, but it was fixed in 7.7.4 I will test tomorrow and let you know for sure.
  5. I do not have IP office, but instead something called Connection manager which is apparently a slimmed down version of IP office. I do not see any option to forward messages in Connection Manager.
  6. That is possible, but we are trying to have it so they are notified without needing to check in. The fear is that they may "forget" to check and not get important calls from parents.
  7. Let me start by saying sorry if this is not the right forum for this question. My administration has instructed me to make some changes to the school phone system. Currently an Avaya IP based system and voice mail. They want to give teachers virtual phone extensions for voice mail instead of assigning them to a specific phone. My school has doubled in size in the past 4 years so teachers are no longer in the same room all day. The concern is that with no physical phone mapped to the extension there will be no message indicator alerting the teachers that they have messages. The voice mail system (Avaya Communications Manager) has an SMTP server that I can configure their clients to check, but with cell phones and iPads that could get daunting. I consulted an AVAYA tech and from what we can tell there appears to be no way to forward the notification messages directly to their Google Email addresses. There is an option for a Mail Gateway however. My thought is that I could configure the gateway to forward the messages to the correct email address, but I am not sure if this is even possible. Essentially what I would like to see happen is Call goes to Voice Mail -> Voicemail Email Notification created by Voice Mail System -> Email forwarded to School Google Email address. Does anyone know if it is possible to setup an hopefully opensource or very inexpensive mail Gateway that could route the messages to the correct location. More importantly a very detailed walk-through on how to set it up. Hopefully this make sense, I know it is an unusual problem. Anthony
  8. I have been extensively testing the Unifi UAP non pro model in my school. Today I had 18 students streaming YouTube videos and surfing the web. They pulled 3.5GB worth of data through a single AP serving 18 clients in 15 minutes and the UAP didn't miss a beat. This afternoon I am doubling the attempt to increase the load to 30 students and see how it performs. I have been running various tests on it for the past few weeks and it performed great. When you take into account I have Avaya controller based 8120APs down the hall that can not handle 30 students taking an online test at the same time without dropping connections I couldn't be happier. The real test comes later this month when we start end of term online testing in classes. We are focusing the testing in the classrooms where I have UAPs installed to see how they handle the load. Avaya and 3Com both cracked. I am anxious to see if the UAPs will do better.
  9. According to Ubiquiti they are. I have two on order (due here May 1) to address the passive POE injectors that I am very hesitant to deploy hence the reason I am still only testing them in a Lab setting and not deploying to the school yet.
  10. I am still testing the units that I purchased last month, so far so good. I opted for the standard UAPs due to the fact we have very few apple devices and even less laptops supporting 5ghz at the moment. Given the your statement about Apple iPads I would say go for PRO or even the AC. It appears to only be $50 bucks for AC and they have all of the features of the PRO model plus they are future proof. According to the Ubiquiti webinar on the new AC product they are confident there will be no changes in the AC standard that can not be addressed with firmware. For the $50 bucks a piece it makes the most sense to me. That said my plan is to use the UAP 2.4GHz only units in each classroom to support BYOD in the classroom and use the new AC models in general meeting areas (cafeteria, media center, teacher's lounge) where I know I am likely to have a fair amount of users with the latest devices (the ones they own!) that can benefit from the additional features. Though the 802.3AF support of the PRO and AC model has me trying to make them work with my budget to avoid another failure point with the passive POE adapters or touch switches. Hope this helps.

We have 65 Lenovo's and aside from some complaints about track pads requiring a learning curve and taking some getting used to they have performed flawlessly. 25 were ordered in July and 40 in January. Loved the fact they shipped with Windows 7 and had an upgrade to Windows 8. User love the machines, but trackpads can be troublesome for users. Personally I am having some concerns over the build quality of new Dell's. The 390 and 790 desktops have not impressed me and I have had a number of issues with power supplies and motherboards (at least 10 since September). We are a 100% Dell school until we started having problems, and now we are moving rapidly toward Lenovo.
  12. I have been using the BETA for 3 for my testing. Planning going live with 6 units across 6 classrooms using standard UAPs with V3. I can't really see the need to adopt 802.11AC at the moment, but nice to see they are innovating. I had received a quote from Enterasys for nearly $100,000 last week for two controllers and a 100 2x2 MIMO access points to cover the 3 building in my district. Aerohive was about the same, and both were with us installing the AP's in-house. with Based on initial testing with the Unifi product I am pleased to say that I am very happy with the performance and features and you can't beat the cost. I put together a similar quote using an existing hardware for the Controller and 100 UAP access points fr a total cost of under $15,000 and that was allowing for some UAP-Pro models in my lab areas which may not be upgraded to the 802.11AC hardware. Finding it hard to find legitimate complaints about the unifi product.

I took the plunge and convinced the school to order 9 units for testing along with some POE adapters (which I am assured by vendor will not have the failure problems) and a couple of POE Touch switches. Here's hoping it all works or I will have some explaining to do. I will post back after they are installed and let everyone know how they work out.
  14. I had an issue with a 2 staff accounts that despite not seeing any errors in the log would not transfer all of the emails. This was only 2 out of 200 so I did not go crazy trying to figure it out. Are they possibly in the trash folder, outbox, or some other folder that the migration tool is skipping?
