Assuming Mbps, not kbps?

Not with smoothwall but had something similar yesterday.

We're currently with Coconnect. What do you do for filtering and monitoring? We use CoConnect supplied Netsweeper, but I think it's awful. I might just renew the line and get filtering from elsewhere.

Our school's broadband is coming up for renewal in the next 6 months. We haven't had a horrible experience with our current provider, but I thought I would see what's out there. Can anyone recommend anything good in south east?

We run DHCP on a Synology box for ease of access and DNS on the ISP FortiGate.

With DHCP on ISP router. Do you have access to make reservations, or do you not use reservations? Is it a flat network or do you have VLANs

Anyone using Securly with iPads? How is it?

Is Securly any good? Currently using Netsweeper provided by our broadband but it's not great. We're a Microsoft School. Students use Windows computers and Apple iPads.

But we'll all be retired by then, right... right?

Soon they'll ask you todo their work for them as well.

Just use Printix, it will save you a lot of time, and it's not that expensive.

Sorry, I couldn't find it. I only needed it once, so I didn't think about keeping it by the looks. I reached out to RM to see because it's definitely that article I had access to when I did it, but it looks like RM is making you pay to access it now, which seems totally ridiculous. I thought RM went to sh*t, but this is a new low for them.

Also, not sure if you're familiar with Intune, but if you've got a minimum of one Microsoft A3 license, you can have any number of iPads managed in Intune. It's not a per iPad license like Meraki.

I would say the device restrictions are better on Intune as you have more options. You would need to create another certificate in Apple School to push to Intune or other MDM. And yes, you would need to reset all iPads to join them to the new MDM and get a new profile. I would suggest doing a batch at a time. You've got until 2029 to get all of them over to something else.

I remember doing this a year ago. It was done through PowerShell, which was quite cool to watch. I'll see if I still have it.

Going to have to start putting RAM in my wallet.
