  1. Thank you, the first link seems to only archive pupils data. We need something that will archive all pupil and staff data from the past 10 years or so.
  2. We recently migrated away from SIMS to Bromcom. As part of the ESS licence agreement we need to delete/remove the SIMS software. In order back up any data that hasn't been migrated over to Bromcom our MIS support providers are charging us to do the following: 1. Generate complete financial records for the current and previous 6 years. 2. Generate a concise and secure summary of your pupil and staff records. Anyone know how we can do this ourselves? It can't be that difficult for them to be charging us for it. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. Sorry, what do you mean by if you have a case? I can send logs, but do you want logs for iDrac, iLO and the SAN?
  4. Again, I've tried running a scheduled task but it doesn't work with the option 'run whether user is logged on or not'. Again, strange.
  5. I've actually done that as a workaround. I've put a shortcut to the batch file in the startup folder and it works when a user logs in. However, I wanted the duplication to happen at the logon screen and not when the user has logged on to the PC.
  6. We have PCs connected to a Promethean interactive screen. The screen usually connects to the PCs HDMI port and the computer monitor to the VGA port. However, when a computer starts up the display is set to extended not clone/duplicate. I've added a GPO startup script (bat file) which includes the following: displayswitch.exe /clone But this doesn't work. The display is still set to extend. The batch file works when I run it manually. We're running Windows 10 on the PCs. Does anyone have any ideas? Am I missing something that is stopping the script executing? Is there a GPO that blocks scripts?
  7. Could I ask what you mean by that?
  8. Add the script to the startup folder?
  9. I have BGinfo setup but for some reason it does not apply when a user logs on to a PC/laptop for the first time. The standard Windows wallpaper is shown without any BGinfo data. When the user logs off and back on again the wallpaper and BGinfo data is shown. I have the file BGinfo64.exe, BGinfo.bgi, and the wallpaper JPEG copied to the folder "c:\files" in a seperate computer Group Ploicy which means the files are copied to the C drive before the user has logged on. I then have the following script in a batch file running at user level: reg add HKU\.DEFAULT\Software\Sysinternals\BGInfo /v EulaAccepted /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f C:\files\Bginfo64.exe C:\files\SPSBGinfo.bgi /TIMER:00 /nolicprompt Any ideas what's going wrong? The wallpaper and BGinfo data is displayed flawlessly on the second login so I'm not sure what's going on.
  10. They all have the same wireless network card (Broadcom BCM43142). I've updated them to the latest drivers I could find. I know it's an old wireless card but that shouldn't stop it working.
  11. I would say max 4/5 clients at any one time.
  12. Yes, and they have been useless.
  13. No, we're not near any radars. Where can I check if it is DFS issues?
  14. Restarting the client and yes, it happens regardless of the security type.
  15. We've been having issues with our Cisco Meraki wireless setup. Clients are randomly disconnecting from the wireless SSID and losing network connectivity. Only a restart connects the device back to the SSID. The disconnects are very random, sometimes it will start connected for 30 minutes, other times for 3 hours. It's very random. On the Cisco dashboard for the client history there are entries that read: "Successful connection to SSID **SSID_Name** for an hour on AP **AP Name**, but the client unexpectedly disassociated." In the event log there are entries that read: "802.11 disassociationunspecified reason" Can't seem to get to the bottom of why this is happening. The clients are random and not the same model/make, it's happening on different SSIDs and at different times of the day. Spoke to Cisco support and they suggested switching on band steering, which we've done and changing the bit rate and nothing has made any difference. Could anyone help?
