  1. Late at night, you toss and you turn and you dream of what you need? Don't answer that.
  2. My desk. Laptop logged in to the Knowledge Base, ready to solve the next Major Problem with . There's a thin-client screen off to my right, just to have the obligatory second screen. It's usually logged-in to some server or another. I couldn't fit it in. Maybe I'll up a second pic. Maybe I won't.
  3. I'm so right-dominant that my left hand might as well belong to someone else. About the only thing I can do well with my left hand is hold down a SHIFT key.
  4. I use the loud guitar/drum break (after the first verse) from 'When September Ends' for my alarm and the opening few piano bars of 'Tubular Bells' for my ringtone. I've always made my own ringtones using Audacity, YouTubeDownloader and 140Gig of music. I might add another ringtone, probably the chorus from 'Wagon Wheel', which somehow ended up as being the 'Song of the Weekend' while I was at #CFF14
  5. Fifteen minutes leisurely amble to work in warm weather, ten minutes brisk walk in cold. Generally, three tracks on the iPhone is how I measure it, ymmv.
  6. Strange, I've been buying stuff from Ebuyer for years and never any problem with delivery, which is why I keep using them. Two examples. Ordered a back-lit keyboard one evening about 8.30 - 9.00 pm, delivered by lunchtime the next day (to the school). Got free delivery on that one, too. Ordered a Bluetooth speaker bar just on Tuesday evening for Friday delivery (to the school, I always get deliveries here 'cos I'm here all day), paid for Friday delivery. It was delivered yesterday. Again, next day, even though it was for their three-day delivery. Maybe I've been lucky.
  7. Neuer was fine until he reverted to Schumacher (Harald not Michael) mode. Lawrenson was on top form, I love his sense of humour. I'm sure it was him that said, when describing a very early second-half goal in one match, 'All those spectators just getting back to their seats from their half-time cup of tea missed it. Two sugars in your tea and it's in the top corner'.........or it was someone impersonating him, but if it was, they were bang on.
  8. Mark Lawrenson or Neuer?
  9. ....................and it's all over for another four years. What am I going to watch on TV now?
  10. At least I'll want someone to win it now. Mascherano was absolutely immense, had Robben in his pocket the whole game
  11. So tonight, Holland will beat Argentina, we'll have a Germany v Holland Final (again) and I'll want them both to lose (again).
  12. Actually, I was surprised at how weather-proof the soft top was during that winter. The previous owner was a mechanic who kept it as a plaything, garaged for eight months of the year and perfectly maintained. I'll have it re-proofed at the end of the rainy season.....sorry.....summer, then I'll think about selling it.
  13. Just to put it in perspective
  14. As requested. Sorry, I always get confused, it's 2001, not '91
  15. My '91 Z3 Sorry, it's a 2001, I always get confused over having such a relatively new car.
  16. @SiliconAlley_Sam Received my tablet this morning, thanks for not putting it in the microwave. Oh by the way, I defused the explosives. And I contained the anthrax spores. And the fish-hooks dipped in curare............well, what can I say? Cute. Very Borgia-esque. It's a shame that for us , The World Cup is over, but every dark cloud and all that. Thanks again.
  17. Germany through to the semi's. Ominous.
  18. 52% overall with 100% on Shell and IBM (predictably) and Batman. Some of the logos I didn't even recognise, so I guessed them.
  19. Irony is lost on some people, isn't it.
  20. Ironic, isn't it. On what is the hottest, sunniest day of the year (here) so far.
  21. Yeah, I hate the 'soccer' bit too. Really good game though, Belgium v USA. If the USA had gone through, it would have caused all manner of navel-gazing over here, I think. After all, they're not supposed to be any good at 'soccer', are they? Certainly not as good as we're supposed to be. France v Germany will be good. My predictions for the semi's: France v Brazil and Netherlands v Messi.....sorry.....Argentina. Anyone else?
  22. Always expect the Unexpected. HB2U.
  23. Have we all lost interest in this now?
