To be fair, it is probably not just RM feeling the pinch since the Harnessing Technology grant was redistributed to fund 'free' schools, but many UK based educational IT suppliers will also be affected by this, especially as many of the free schools are still in the planning stages I doubt wether they have yet budgeted or planned for ICT spending yet. It will be interesting however to see if free school staff and governors will be at BETT 2012 in any numbers looking to purchase equipment and software.
