Not planning on renewing with them - gave it a go at the introductory price but I found their management website to be a bit sparse. -

PEBKAC mis-read my renewal date as 3rd December when it was 12th March -

I've used them for a year but although according to my account information, my renewal date is Dec 22 - I just received an email saying because I haven't clicked on autorenewal - my account has been cancelled! So at moment, I've lost all access to my backup data without warning! I received a prior email to this last week saying that if I enabled auto-renewal - I'd get 75% off (with specifying off what YMMV -

I thought the way the system is supposed to work is that that address ISN'T reachable from home, so after a timeout interval, the laptop will set itself to no proxy. e.g there is a delay when first launching browser but then afterwards it will work fine. -
JFI I've just noticed that v3.5 installs into c:\program files(x86)\Scratch Desktop rather than AppData/Local....

I didn't realise it had been updated by Scratch team but I see it was on 26th June and is now at version 3.4.0. Hopefully @Arthur / @mansin could provide an updated msi

JFI At my wife's school, a number of teachers were reporting that their class computer was blocking access to youtube (even though setup on staff filtering) Logging out and logging in again gets it back working BTLS told her that this is expected behaviour if computer kept logged in for more than 10 hours - it reverts to student level filtering -

Apologies - Long post.... I setup Netsweeper in my non-domain school - all works as expected At the school my wife works at - technican is off at moment and its not working 100% Its a server2016 domain - all GPOs/AD stuff seems to be fine - pupils logging on are getting allocated the default primary-students policy and staff logging on are getting staff policy - the non-domain un-managed IPads are also being allocated default primary students policy Normal filtering is working fine - pupils can't get on Facebook/twitter but staff can BUT if I add any deny or allows to the policies - they are ignored by domain computers but ipads obey them - e.g machines using WAgent seem to ignore the extra rules but the non-managed ipads are fine On domain computers - if I select the WAgent icon - it shows being allocated to nsw-pupils or nsw-staff as appropriate Reading thru the BTLS setup instructions, it implies that there should be correspondingly named netsweeper group nsw-pupils and nsw-staff but all I had were the default Students and Staff. When I tried to create a nsw-pupils - it said already exists Eventually, I decided to get creative and create a specific nsw-swpupils test group - changed AD for the 2014 user (one user/year group) and if I logon as that 2014 user - WAgent is allocating it to nsw-swpupils and everything works fine - denies and allows now working Is this just something wrong in the setup here or are other primary schools having same issue? I'm just including some screenshots -

Our re-scheduled changeover happened last night and all seems to be working OK One minor issue is that I don't seem to be able to use the name of a device in the client manager to tell it is a staff device and to use Staff filtering instead of Student one If I use IP address - it works fine but that means having to set reserved IP for all staff devices (Not a biggy since VERY small school - no domain - but docs say I should be able to use the device name and name has higher priority than address range) Anyone managing to use name in small school? -

I'm suspecting that this may be the case 10 Ipads - first one took 30 mins - got it down to to about 3 mins on the last one Of course, I've probably got typos on the pac file address on several of them And these are old Ipads so the certificate install instructions don't seem to 100% match up with options I've got available to me so they might not work at all! -

Head passed me email last week saying we were being migrated at 4pm 12Jun (yesterday) so came in to run the scripts on school laptops and setup ipads (no domain/MDM) Came back in bright and early this morning to find that we still seem to be on Lightspeed filtering AFAICT Contacted Help Desk- they say they have no record of us being migrated - sent them the email that we'd received saying it was being done - they've told us to email [email protected] and liaise with them directly Sitting waiting ....... -
I had issues yesterday trying to use Scratch 3 in an after-school coding club with the laptops taking a long time to load the sites but didn't have time to investigate - just switched to using offline version - I'll direct the school tech to this thread

Can you post a download link for us?
-
You need to change how chrome deals with downloads You can open a tab and enter chrome://settings/downloads and slide the switch across (no need to save afterwards - just close tab) Unfortunately, this seems to be a per user/computer setting so not totally practicable in most cases This is the thread on it http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/203074-scratch-3-chrome-download-location-settings.html with an offered GPO solution
