Hmm... are they therefore going to sue other shops that are setup the same? I've been in orange shops etc which meet that design criteria.

 

Apple are going mental.

 

Take an existing idea (laptop, tablet PC, Mp3 player, shop etc), make it popular, aggressively trade mark it and sue the competition to force them out of the market.

Apple are just doing whatever they can and seeing what sticks. Its the US Patent Office that's nuts. Why would anyone ever grant many of these patents? Anyone with a braincell can see they're stupid.

Tbh I can see where they are coming from, given the fact that in countries like China there's blatant Apple Store rip-off clones springing up in every city.

If the US patent office don't get a grip they may end up with countries other than China playing pick and choose with which patents they honor. Slippery slope...
