elsiegee40 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd February, the DLR will be closed between Canning Town and Beckton for engineering works. This is the bit of the DLR that stops outside ExCeL. (I've split this from the main BETT thread because the questions are still being asked) The alternatives are: 1. Jubilee Line to North Greenwich (O2). Emirates Air Line (cable car) over the river to Royal Docks. Five minute walk to ExCeL. The Air Line is not covered by a Travelcard, but you can buy a discounted ticket by showing your Travelcard. Oyster cards can be used on Air Line. 2. Jubilee Line or DLR to Canning Town then .... 2a) Walk (21 minutes) from Canning Town to ExCeL Google Maps Route .... 2b) Bus from Canning Town to ExCeL - the bus station is right outside the tube station exit 3. DLR to West Silvertown (can join this line at Canning Town) then a 13 minute walk from West Silvertown (there's a foot bridge over the dock) Google Maps Route Edited January 27, 2013 by elsiegee40 1
