Pursu-IT Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I am looking at doing a project for a surestart that would love to have a few PC's that are not the standard Black. I do not want to build but may have too. Has anyone done or know of a UK supplier of PC that are colourful? Regards Mel
Millgate Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Hi Mel, Some of the @VeryPC units have a colourful front to them. Drop me a PM or an email and I'll put something together for you Thanks
RTFM Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 The @VeryPC machines are great and their warranty is good too. The machines are pretty and you can have a little design done on the front to customise it and you can have colours.
dhicks Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Has anyone done or know of a UK supplier of PC that are colourful? You could always try sticky vinyl cutouts (lots fo schools have small vinyl cutting machines around, or this might be a good reason to get one), or possibly airbrushing.
FN-GM Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 You can get my hard shell cases for Macs that are pretty colourful

Wouldn't vinyl stickers be picked / peeled off though? That would be my main concern with that.
dhicks Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Wouldn't vinyl stickers be picked / peeled off though? That's a good point, although you could try creating vinyl large enough to fit around the edges of the metal parts of the case, then completly cover each side / top of the case in the vinyl before screwing it back together.

I believe the front is actually powder coated (@VeryPC will correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure). The vinyl idea seems a lot of effort. 1
john Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 If you did some vinyl graphics on a PC case if you then make them a few mm smaller than the front and apply a layer of Bomb Blast over that it will help reduce the damage from picking, as the name imply's its designed to withstand a bomb from shattering glass and is used on shops in city centres, I have used it to cover ID stickers on Laptops before and it was quite good at that job.
rad Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Spray paint would be better. depending on case may need to be primed first.
slugshead Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Go to Halfords. Lots of colourful spraypaint there.
