X-13 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 The writing has been on the wall, but TERA is finally going free-to-play. Despite positive reviews and coverage going into the game's launch, TERA's questing and leveling style simply didn't set a hook in western audiences. As such, the subscription rate became too much of a burden and much of TERA's audience left quite quickly. Perhaps, as a free-to-play title, TERA will be more alluring. We'll find out some time in February. In terms of quality TERA's free-to-play model is quite decent, too. First off, there are no limitations on race or class for character creation, but a free-to-play player will only have two character slots instead of the standard eight (per server). Afterward, all players will have access to all zones and characters. It's that simple. The limitations mostly revolve around convenience, as in limited bank space and auction taxes. I just turned on P2P and let it run. I'm also rolling an Elin [the "little girl" race] seeing a child take down, and I quote from the game itself, a "big-ass monster" with dual swords is something I doubt will stop being funny.

bushby Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 iv had the game from launch and its great it even has boob physics , not the only reason i love the game but the whole game as it is kill BAMS and the politics engine is super, allowing the players to manipulate the economics
Garacesh Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Hmm, used to play a lot of Aion, then everyone sort of split off onto other things, haven't really gotten into an MMO since then, it's just been DotA II for me.. Might have to give this a look-see.

I'll say this, the combat is a lot more fun than WoW.[/opinion] hold leftclick to attack, rightclick to dodge. Numbers and F#'s for skills... WHICH ARE CHAINABLE! Chain with space. [i currently have one chained skill. Warrior sword flailamajig [TM] >> dodge]

Need to max out my hordie on WoW first, though Secret World is keeping me from that, finally got back into it. Finished my first Deck on it last night so spent 30 minutes building a new spec. Sword and Hammer ftw.

I've never played with the macros in TSW, I don't know if they're possible. Could always create it with one of my macro keys though. It does allow you to call Scripts in HTML format though. Had a play around and made one for our guild recruit. Click a name, it whispers for an invite, click the website, the in game browser opens on the application page. Warrior sword flailamajig [TM] >> dodge] the chains are sweet but when you have 1 skill that leads to 3 diffrent chains it gets more intresting as you need to think ahead of what to use compaired to what has the strongest result to the shortest cool down i use the strongest as finishers. but my fav thing is i managed to get the name for my zerc Castanic female.... budacia (the celtic war queen)
