We have a couple of ex-Olympic Games ones for sale which are surplus to requirements for our school - Gateway / Acer rackmount GR380 F1 (Gateway) / AR380 (Acer) IST1 server

Priced at £320 ex VAT each. Collection advised, but we could courier for approx £40 per unit (Parcelforce charges)

Boxed, full working order etc but no operating system.

Single quad core CPU included but upgradeable to dual CPU

Would definitely go and collect if you can - if not get the exact costs for delivery before you order!

 

We ordered some touch screens and servers and got stung on the delivery and the only response I got was that I got a good deal on the kit.They didn't understand that if it wasn't a good deal I wouldn't have bought it!

 

Would have been cheaper to drive to get them myself!

I'd agree - I thought the delivery charges were pretty high when we ordered them.

Parcelforce charge £40 to ship a package of this size.

The other option is to arrange for your own courier to collect - happy to do that...

Yep,

 

Wishing that we had done that - paid a few times more than that!

 

Think they should be a bit more upfront about this side of things tbh.
