Gave up in the end. Capita were hopeless. Blamed Microsoft who blamed Capita.
-
We had same with Microsoft, but he was unable to do anything (I think he perceived the issue to be a Capita one - certainly the Untitled Class bit as there's a ref to this in Capita's API documentation I think)
-
According to our LEA, Capita developers are aware of both issues and “speaking to Microsoft”. Has been dragging on for ages, to the point where I am considering baling out of SDS. Did they ever bother testing it I wonder....Painful.

Monty Python springs to mind....aaay, group members ?! You were lucky ! We used to dream of group members.... :-)
-
Had something similar, yes. We deleted the sections (groups) and recreated the profile and reran SDS. Now the sections look OK (other than the fact that they seem to be called "-untitled class") but the members are all missing! Capita alluded to being aware of this issue and trying to sort with MS. My own view of this is that it seems pretty clunky, almost a "beta" feel to the SIMS ID onboarding. There are also mixed versions of Capita documentation around as well so be careful to find the latest.

Hi - has anybody gone through the self-onboarding process for SIMS ID to O365 with SDS & OneNote integration? Would be interested to hear how easy or otherwise you found it.... Cheers

Hi Has anybody found a way of forcing Chromebooks to use the full version of Microsoft's OWA rather than the light version ? I know there are a couple of Chrome extensions that can be used, but I'm more interested in finding out whether there is a policy somewhere that can be overridden ? TIA
-
We are in a school where the same generic AD password has - lazily - been given out to multiple students Students have Chromebooks with GApps / Unify We can enforce an immediate password change on all students in AD, but not sure what'd happen next time they tried to log in via Unify And we also need to force them to change their passwords on a regular basis (school policy) Any ideas ? TIA

We have one of these up for grabs. Full blurb here: https://visionaudiovisual.com/techmount/tm-ifp/ This includes the wheeled base and the optional Techmount shelf unit (https://www.avpartsmaster.co.uk/p-52147-vision-tm-ifp-optional-shelf.aspx) Basically this is a motorised mobile stand with VESA mounting bracket to allow a large TV or - in our case - an ActivPanel 65 to be wheeled around, and raised/lowered electronically. Cost nearly £1000 new, has had less than 20 hours use (school decided to mount the panel in a classroom in the end!) Open to sensible offers, but would have to be collected from North Dorset. Please PM if interested.... Cheers Mike

Looking more closely looks like the previous support company tied down C drive where I think Sketchup tries to create library folders and installer fails on access rights. So, I can create a preferences.dat with accessible shared location for these folders but can't deploy this as the preferences file has to be manually imported. These same folder locations are stored in HKCU but again deployment is a pain and not my area of expertise. Any suggestions ? Thanks...

32bit, no previous sketchup installs and this was just using a cmd window, msiexec with mst and licence file. Just tried a straight install of the .exe on another PC and does exactly the same... So when I start Sketchup for first time, choose a template, Start Using Sketchup and error appears. Can then continue to use sketchup regardless
-
Old thread I know, but tried using latest Sketchup Make MSI with above MST and licence file. Install is fine but when starting get error "one or more of your preferred file location paths are invalid..." and the entries for all file prefs in Sketchup are red/empty. Can use Sketchup but this is a bit of a pain... Anybody seen these ? Possible side effect of roaming profiles perhaps? Cheers

Might be worth a look at Tucasi....

Hi - PM sent... -
Using 2008 R2 and Win 7 Pro Sp1 clients. Trying to set up IE10 with different proxy exception settings for 3 groups of user (teachers/students/admins). Because I'm running IE10 on the server and clients I figured IEAK10 to be the way to go so set up 3 different IEAK branding-only installations (MSIs), each with its own INS file. Not sure if this is the most elegant way or not. Anyway I've assigned each MSI to each user group in GPMC but the proxy exceptions don't seem to be working. I think I'm doing something fundamentally wrong ! Is it enough to just use the MSI or are the INS files required as well ? (my understanding is that you can use the INS for later customisation if needed) Cheers

Rumours are that a number of sites are affected (I've heard 37). Same issues again today - v. sporadic access. Its the lack of notification that's really disappointing - first rule if you've got a problem, tell your customers & explain what you're doing to resolve it even if you don't know when its going to be fixed.
