Mounting Ruckus 7363 Access-Points

Hi

I just ordered Ruckus ZoneDirector and few Ruckus Access-Points 7363.

I would like to install them in our office on ceiling.

 

Do I need to order some special mount-kits for 7363 APs ?

The 7363 doesn't appear to be plenum rated so you can't hide it in the celing. If you mean on the celing I don't know

 

UPDATE: http://www.ruckuswireless.com/products/zoneflex-indoor/7300-series if you go to datasheets here there is a mounting bracket PDF i think you need the bracket 902-0166-0000

Yes, it can be hung from the ceiling. There are two types of brackets available depending if you have ceiling tiles or not. This one:

Slim Mounting Bracket, Drop Ceiling mount for Ruckus 7341, 7343, 7363 (902-0181-000) available form wifi.co.uk attaches to the metal strip between the tiles.

 

How many do you need - I have some going spare from the last install we did.

 

There is also a Ruckus Flat Mount Bracket and Drop Ceiling Bracket - sorry dont have the product code to hand - which you can attach to either the ceiling tile or the metal strip.

I use these brackets with mine - 902-0166-0000 they are great for suspended ceilings fit on the grid perfectly or for fixing to the wall very happy with them on both surfaces and are good quality strong mounts
