I have 4 domain which I now administer. We have a new domain which is trusted which each of the 3 other ones.

Issue I have is I am on domain 1 and connecting to server on domain 2 I can see the shares without it prompting for credentials but I cannot do the same to domain 3 from domain 1.

Any ideas?

I basically have a print server which is setup and until a new one is built I want them to access it to get to the queue and a file share. Routing is all in place just an issue with permissions. Any idea why I can access 1 but not the other?

I would double check the trusts, but also make sure they're all two way. You can optionally have a one way trust, depending how you want it all set up.

You also need to make sure DNS is setup correctly too. Either setting up a Secondary Zone or Stub Zone, will allow you to 'find' the other domains, if that makes sense! :)

There is no trusts currently with domains 1, 2 or 3. There is domain 4 which has a trust to each of 1 -3. From domain 1 I can connect to server in domain 2 but not domain 3 and domain 3 cannot connect back to domain 1. How is it possible to connect to domain 2 from domain 1?

If it cannot be done without putting trusts in I will just bring up a box in domain 4.

What have you setup in principle sounds fine, but I would check the status of domain 3 seeing as the others appear OK from what you're saying. DNS does play a vital role with trusts.

I suppose the place to start is whether or not you can ping from domain 1 to domain 3 and visa versa.
