BassTech Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) Hi There, I'm thinking of selling my gaming PC, it's in good nick, been well looked after and has ran a treat since the day I built it. Flatpackhamster Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I'll give you two now, and fifteen when we reach Alderaan.
3s-gtech Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 As a complete unit, getting more than £250-£300 will be tricky unless you can pitch it just right, to the right audience. PCs are vastly easier to sell as component parts - your motherboard is decent, the processor is very desireable, graphics card is decent, RAM's not worth much but will sell, and your PSU and optical drive are very saleable.
rush_tech Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I'd agree with the breaking it and selling the parts, that's what I did with my old one
Garacesh Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I'd (note, would, not am, too poor for that) offer about £200 for it, mostly because it's second-hand. I'm not saying you've damaged anything, but being a gaming PC it'll definitely have been through some. Admittedly, £200 is on the lower-end of what I'd consider 'fair', but since I build my own (as I'm sure many here do) I'd usually just buy parts bit-by-bit and assemble after a few months once I'd gotten all of the parts. I think @3s-gtech raises a valid point. You'd probably shift it easier as component parts.
