as i cant see this type of thread thought id start one

 

disabling app store (Still shows but cant be used)

gpo (so you need 2012 server or rsat (or whatever its now called) on a win8 box

 

user config\admin templates\windows components\store\turn off the store application

 

remove access to xbox games/skydrive etc

 

offline image service (so edit install.wim before deployment (this can almost certainly aslo be done with a sysprep file but havnt looked at that yet just manual installs for now)

 

Dism /Get-ImageInfo /ImageFile:C:\test\images\install.wim

(looks at the wim file so you can check index numbers im using enterprise so its always index 1)

 

Dism /Mount-Image /ImageFile:C:\test\images\install.wim /index:1 /MountDir:C:\mount

(mount the wim to c:\mount so you can make changes)

 

Dism /Image:C:\mount /Get-ProvisionedAppxPackages | clip

(dumps a list of not metro apps to the clipboard so you can paste into notepad)

 

Dism /Image:C:\mount /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName:Microsoft.BingFinance_1.2.0.135_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

Dism /Image:C:\mount /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName:Microsoft.BingNews_1.2.0.135_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

(removes stuff i dont want (ive left weather because people seem to like not having to look outside) bear in mind im using x64 so you will need to edit if using x86)

 

you can also use the above offline but will only affect new users ive found so

dism /online /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName:Microsoft.BingFinance_1.2.0.135_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

 

is also valid if you are at that pc or script its removal at first boot etc
