When printing student attendance it displays the student name in SIMS.net but when you click print in the web window that opens the student name is no longer there, this has only just started happening recently

Any ideas or is it just a side effect of a recent update?

Version: 7.146

Build: 42

Thanks :)

Hi Disease,

I'll have a look tomorrow. I've got to print out some attendance statistics for Parents' Evening next week. Which report are you using?

See what you mean. It's not a route I normally use though so I can't say for sure whether it used to print the name on top. It surely needs to though. The route you used was the Attendance link from the Student Details page, presumably. If you print the registration certificate through Reports>Attendance>Registration Certificates, you can print pretty much the same report with the pupil's name at the top.

Do you have access to Supportnet to stick it on there?

@Disease if you're using the route @GeeHubb mentions it never did that.

It actually dumps the student name into the tab title, so it's available. I don't know if you get a browser that doesn't use tabs if it will show it somewhere, but i don't think so.

I modified the template so it shows up in the body for us whilst i modified the table to re-order the days. Is that any good to you?

It means each time you print, you have to supply your own layout.

It's still a pain as the reg group is not available in the report, so it's hard to manage random print runs. We send that page home with the reports, and due to the lack of a bulk print procedure, the admin office manually prints them one at a time. I ended up making a little vbscript for them to move to next student, click print, choose custom template, then print from the web browser. That last bit is an added pain because you also can't load up the browser with multiple reports, they all use the same template! So you need to print each one after it's generated.

Anyhoo, i modified the table layout, removed the notes / comments from teh bottom, and generally fixed lots of things that don't work for us, so it's worth the extra effort.
