Hi,

At one of my very small primary schools all the pupils logon as a class (class1, or class2). At my other schools I have folder re-direction setup by GPO to merge the users 'my documents and home folders' and would like to set this up at this small school.

Has anyone else already done this at a school where the students all logon as a group?

How do you mean by merging the My Documents and Home Folders?

Typically I set Documents as the root, then all other sub folders within this.

When enabling folder re-direction you can get the server to merge the 'local my docs folder' with the users home folder on the server so they do not lose or overwrite any files when enabling the policy.

So basically because all pupils logon as Class1 or Class2, whether or not it would work or not? You could argue as there's only a few accounts to move the data manually.

In one of my schools we have class log-ons and the folders are redirected without a problem. Why wouldnt it work? It is just fewer users after all?
