Installing Office 2003 over Office 2010

I recently bought a new laptop. It came with Office 2010 starter edition. I have licensed version of Office 2003. Can I directly install 2003 or should I uninstall 2010 first? It will be nice if I can retain 2010 starter edition for Word and Excel.

Personally I would uninstall the Starter Edition plus any other trial products as they just get in the way and bloat start. Up.

Should be able to install 2003 after, just pick the bits that you wants, it will mess with the file associations though by taking them over. The one thing that is not able to co-exist is Outlook which I don't think is included in starter anyway.

Thanks. Just observed started edition doesn't have all the feature. Although it can be useful for opening docx and xlsx files.

You should be able to download the Office Compatability pack, which will allow you to open docx and xlsx file formats in older versions of office.
