How to get rid of VGA ghosting problem

I agree that you have a bad sheild or cruddy VGA cable. Why do you want to hook your laptop up to the tv? if it's only movies and surfin the web (not video games) then you could purchase a usb video card that would have a digital output and a usb extension lead.

EDIT: ohh and never use a VGA splitter powered or otherwise they ruin the picture quality. Also the VGA signal is effected by resolution and refresh rate, so lower them to see if it helps.

 

u mean a usb video card with a dvi or hdmi output and not vga output?

this and vga to hdmi converter and all...dont they all provide the same output?

 

well i heard vga splitters amplify the vga signals...how could they ruin it?

 

reducing the resolution is sure an option but then picture looks like s*** if i reduce it lower than 1080p...
