Slow site resolution in Windows 7

We are having problems with websites taking anything up to 20 seconds to resolve before loading.

 

We have recently suffered the "sophos" issues, and have also released the new PCE5 client, so I'm not sure if either of these could be part of the issue.

 

Has anyone else suffered this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it?

How many of the following (if any) hotfix's have you got installed?

I would also install both of these to get the latest TCPIP stack

 

Event ID 5719 and event ID 1129 may be logged when a non-Microsoft DHCP Relay Agent is used

TCP SACK option is always set to "true" after you enable the TCP/IP Offloading feature in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

Just out of interest, is it all sites or just sites with flash content? Also, try temporarily turning off protected mode in internet explorer to see if it makes a difference.

It appears to be all sites from the reports received from teachers, however Flash content is heavily used, so it could be that

Could be a DNS issue ?

 

Try manually assigning say opendns to bypass internal DNS on a PC that is having problems and see if that helps.
