Does Server 2012 allow hosting home drives on the cloud?

In companies, staff normally save their documents in their home folder as defined in AD. Can Server 2012 allow hosting each user's home drive so that they can somehow access their documents remotely? An example being some sort of tablet app that can access their hosted home drive.

This has been available natively since Server 2008 R2. Microsoft introduced 'Direct Access' which is a seamless VPN. However, there are some caveats when setting it up.

Your other 2 options are offline files (which has been around since time immemorial) and using a terminal server for remote access.
