Server 2008 R2 - removing previous logins from the logon screen (Remote Desktop)

Hi all,

As title I am trying to stop our Server 2008 R2 box displaying the last user to log-in but am struggling... seems to be a bug and wondered if anyone has actually managed to achieve this... So far I have tried:

  • Disabling Interactive Logon - Do not display last user... have also run GP Modelling as well as Secpol on the server to ensure this setting is applied
  • Disabling fast user switching which I believe is the screen that loads on first launch.

Am running out of patience and wondered if this is just a bug or something I have missed.

Cheers,

MIchael

Did you set this on the Default Domain Policy? And by default workstations will check in every 90 mins to do a GPO refresh. I would recommend lowering this to 5-10 mins.
