interele Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 This is probably a really dumb question but I have just put windows 7 on a machine with a smartboard and the pens don't write they select - is there a howto for windows 7 somewhere .... Ta M
FN-GM Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Just worked for us like it does with XP. What version of the software are you using? You need to use version 10 or 11
gpjt Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Sometimes it can be the drivers that fix the issue. Try here
interele Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Hmm... Removed 11.whatever and put on 10.7 and it works fine Thanks M
tmcd35 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I found problems with Win7, especially with orientation, unless the teacher was made a local administrator of the computer. Also, I think I read somewhere about a Smart Tablet driver that gets installed and can cause problems so it's usually best that is disabled in device manager.
Michael Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Smart Notebook 11 does seem 'patchy' in places. I would recommend Smart Notebook 10.8. It's not problem free, but it does work OK on Windows 7. I may end up re-visiting Smart Notebook 11 when a later build is released.
mavhc Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 I did notice a problem that win7 decided moving a finger up/down was a tablet gesture to swipe, other than that 10.7 worked.
