Science Tech found this on the shelf. It says 'Postbox' on it, has Patent No 642049, made by W & J George & Becker Ltd, seems to have like Marconi type things at the bottom.

 

But we want to know what its for.........

Not exact, but I've seen something similar.

 

After second look... not so similar.

 

Same patent number, but they have no clue what it is either.

 

 

I tried searching for 13479 [the number at the bottom] but that's not getting anything either.
