edie209 Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Anyone come across a way to unbrick a Galaxy S i9000. I was flashing a ROM using Odin (something that I have done loads of times) and the flash failed about a 1/3 unto it. Like a fool without thinking I rebooted the phone. Now It does not go into download mode even using a usb jig. I have tried all the suggestions I can find on the Net such as holding the 3 buttons and inserting the battery, removing the sim and external memory and holding volume up and down at he same time, using Kies recovery, connecting the usb cable starting Odin and then putting the battery and a few other that I can't think at the moment. I have found one method that talks about shorting two resistors on the motherboard, bit reluctant to try that at the moment. Really just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions?........This did make me buy a S3 so it can't all be bad.
ricki Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Try Put the phone into download mode (Volume down + Home + Power button) and make sure it's not connected to your PC. Richard
