Hi

I want record phone call conversations. the phone system is a nortel bcm and the phone in question is a T7208 branded BT. basically its not tapping someone else's line, its recording incoming phone calls, in much the same way the bank record incoming calls to their call centers.

Any ideas suggestions etc.

You can buy little pickups taht go over the handset cord, or something like OAK record should do it.

But you need to tell folk that your recording them before the conversation starts.

We got Oak Record with our Oak reporting and don't use the record function because of the above ( and it was only supplied for a small number of devices. )

The BCM can do this out of the box I think its Feature 989 if its enabled.

Should add, if you google Nortel BCM you will get loads of useful American forums on this system as its just Nortel re-badged for BT :)

Feature 989 is done on the actual telephone handset.

It may need enabling / setting up in Element Manager or the java console depending on your back end system and version.
