Adobe Reader, Flash Player and Others

Where can i find the following in MSI Format:

 

Adobe Reader

Flash Player

Shockwave

Java

 

Any Help would be good, i can download them from websites but they download in .exe format?

For the Adobe products you request distribution rights from Adobe and they send you a link to the downloads.

 

Acrobat does require you use their tool to turn into and .MSI and .MSU.

 

Java is a case of downloading the .EXE version, unpacking and creating and .MST IIRC. Maybe this will help - I didn't read it so I'm not sure.

Its a bit of a faff but you then have access to the latest MSI's easily.

Thanks i have sorted Java, but where do i find the .msi for Flash and Adobe Reader as the links i have are .exe

You register with Adobe and the links they send you have entries for all the flavours of Flash including MSIs, I vaguely recall having to run the Adobe Reader installer and then find where is extracted the setup files to (%TEMP% then the most recently created folder) and then pulling out the .MSI file from there.

No tweaks needed to deploy Shockwave/Flash/Reader. I just apply for the annual distribution licence, download the msi packages (extract in the case of Adobe reader) and deploy via group policy.

Flash needs the auto update disabling, I believe, but wasn't sure about the others.
