Urgent: Support vulnerable Children

Urgent one need ideas on how does my job as network manager help Support vulnerable Children be that G & T, SEN, EAL, children from difficult backgrounds etc.

I run computer clubs for G&T and special needs. Also support SENCO in classes by being at the back, for help if needed.

Seriously though, keeping identities anonymous with student e-mail services by not using their name in the address.

 

Only publishing first names and not surnames alongside photographs on the website.

 

Allowing parents to withdraw consent in writing for things like external e-mail and having their photo on the website. That sort of thing i suppose.

SEN:

investigating, sourcing and implimenting special input devices, software, etc... to meet a wide range of needs.

there should be a SEN manager you can chat to and he/she will or have some idea of what they require, that been bigger screens, keyboard, mice, on screen keyboard etc. voice recognition is useless in schools specially when you have 20 -30 kids all nattering away. we have number of SEN children here.

Your inspector will expect to see evidence, if you have no evidence you are not doing it as far as their concerned. So if you discuss the acquisition and make recommendations on say input devices for Special Needs they will ask what you have purchased, if you lie and get found out well? Inspectors always cross reference what people say, so they will ask your SENCO about the use of input devices for Special Needs and expect them to sing from the same hymn sheet. If they do not then someone may not be telling the truth, and the Head will be asked about inconsistencies in your answers, believe me your Head will not be happy.
