john Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 hehe nice post with it being bi-lingual. Sounds like you a Network Manager rather than techy with that post. What phone system do you use out of interest as I know that is one thing I want to know when applying for jobs that mention phone systems.
Grommit Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh would be highly desirable. right... *looks for a phrase book* Whats the pay like ?
tarquel Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 Just to note... I didn't write the ad... just posted it here for them @john: quite right. Basically... you do everything thats IT in the school. There is little I do that isn't done by the post holder [me currently ]. The phone system is a Mitel 3300 host system with IP phones & some old style analogue phones connected to it to save on a it of cost. @Grommit: The bilingual aspect shouldnt really be a problem for someone with enough experience and / or qualifications. I wont state the exact amount I'm on but I will say that it isn't great at the moment but the county is currently undergoing a pay evaluation i.e. including schools, so I would expect a jump up in pay of a few thousand at least by the end of it [and there is back pay with that too remember ]. I'm leaving for more money being one reason, but mainly other reasons really that I've mentioned many moons ago, and dont wish to mention in a public forum. Things are good here now, and you do have the benefit of managing yourself really, but liasing with the deputy head / head with certain things. Feel free to chat on messenger / PM about more details if you wish Nath.
MkII Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 The Ad is very non commital isn't it. Basically they're after whatever they can get - if that's only someone with incredibly basic knowledge then they'll offer pay to suit - that is if they realise what knowledge they're after. This is all too painfully obvious by them running together managing the whole of the IT Systems into "Supporting Teachers and their IWBs".
tarquel Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 hehe Of course, i'll be available for advise [providing cold hard cash and beer is offered naturally] Nath.
