I haven't seen all that much difference, myself. The only thing I've seen a problem with is the US T8 light tank, the T49. Now you do need to aim fully to even get close to hitting at anything more than 50m, which means you're stuffed with the long aim time.

 

Hate that tank and I spent a fortune putting a rammer and GLD on it too. I just think compared with the Bulldog it's a real comedown. Although I'm probably not a good enough player to use it effectively.

 

Also, with the T69 (which has a similar reload time) at least you get 4 shots. If I had my time again I wouldn't buy it I don't think.

That's very good indeed!

 

To put it into context I have around 10K games and 780 WN8 (though I didn't start really improving until around 3K games when I joined my clan).

I guess what has helped me get a higher rating so quickly is due to watching streams and picking up map tactics. I also have a 52% win rate which is I'm most happy about since I know a lot of newer players struggle to keep that above 50. If you still play and have teamspeak I'll happily have a few games with you.

It makes me sad to see people discussing WoT... since my accounts are all on NA. I have about 5 of varying different levels including one that I use solely for sealclubbing.... it has like 300k Gold which I use JUST to fire my lovely HEAT/APCR in T3-4 battles... oh the tears make it so much fun.

 

EDIT: Forgot to say that if there is an active EU playerbase here on EDU, I might make an account over there and start again, again, again. Though the low tier grinding makes me nervous. What do you active PC players focus on? Heavy/Medium/Light? Since I'm relatively experienced in all of them, I could fill a nice little window as a scout/flanker if needed :)

Since I mainly play solo I don't really focus on anything specific since I like to play a range however I have been grinding down tank destroyers and recently got the ISU-152 however I've only played 2 games in it so far!

 

I'd like to start doing more with light/medium tanks but I find doing it solo with no experience is hugely frustrating especially without sixth sense. If you want to start on EU I'd like to go down the french lights at some point so I could start doing those with you since I don't think I've got much further than tier 2 currently with french tanks lol.

Oh man, I love the ELC AMX, it's an absolute wrecking ball and super easy to get to. The 90mm puts some serious hurt and has no trouble penetrating even in tier 7 games. The downsides are the 13 75 honestly. It's no better than the 12t, except bigger and worse matchmaking. If you can handle that tank, then the BC25t is one of the scariest little tanks in the game. I'll start downloading it tonight and get an account set up.

 

I'm not sure what I'll play quite yet, but I will certainly be playing mediums since I'm not a huge fan of the heavies. I may go down the British mediums since I'm a big fan of the games transition from conventional tanks towards the more modern MBT prototypes.

That's why I was thinking about going down the french line since I like the look of the ELC but the British mediums are really nice especially the Cromwell and comet however I only have the Cromwell B since I though't I'd purchase it to help train my British medium crews plus it comes with a decent crew itself!

 

PS. I hate heavies as well! Well apart from the KV2 obvs :p

I loved my IS-7, until they reworked the penetration calculations and brought out tanks that surpass it at brawling in almost every way. Since that I've only really played the T62a, Bc. 25t and various lower tiered variants.

Have you looked into the T55-A since that's a mission reward tank which is pretty good and most people say it's worth the time investment doing the missions for a solid medium tank.

Seems I last played WoT back in september. I'd be half tempted to get back into it, but I'm not sure if I can be bothered really.

 

I'll still log in occasionly to derp around in the Hetzer/PZIIJ/Pz.Kpfw. B2 but I just can't get back into the grinding... I've got enough of that to do in WoWS.

I was a few thousand points away, but I've seen it in action, and the damn thing is a beast!

 

Nope I didn't even know about that! To be honest I don't play it enough to notice some of the events and I have missed a few good events due to that :(

Been out for a while but jumped back in, mooching around the t6 mark as I play in my hellkitty in between grinding my T1 heavy and flailing about in my cromwell.

Not much seems to of changed in my 6 months out, other than those :censored: OI thingies.

 

 

Got bored of my IS3. Hated the inaccuracy of the gun, wasted a lot of time on that tree.
