Last week I setup an internal Flash Player update server using the instructions written by Adobe for Flash Player 11.3. The silly thing is that in the repositories the highest version of the ActiveX plugin that can be downloaded is 11.2 while the plugin is 11.3!

I've posted this on the Adobe forums and am still waiting back. 11.3 must have been out for a few weeks already. I dont know!

Adobe routinely forget to publish updates to the sources they use for mass distribution. I've had to prompt them at least 3 times on Twitter in the last year to update the ones you get via the distribution agreement. To their credit, they have fixed it each time, but it shouldn't really be up to customers to tell them this stuff.

I did not think it was possible but I think that Flash is actually getting worse, roll on IE10 and dare I say it Chrome with Flash carefully isolated inside so that its vile evilness can't leak out to the rest of the system.

Gotta say, since moving to Chrome, I've had very little problems with Flash

Only recently convinced my wife, a firefox stalwart, to shift to Chrome after getting regular crashes and system freezes when using Flash inside FF...

I'm hoping HTML5 gets a good foothold and start pushing flash out...
