LeMarchand Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Let me count the ways that I do hate thy users and thee. Why do none of your users realise that I have had even less training on you (and certainly less experience of using you) than them? Yet somehow I can work out how to do things. Why do none of your users ever change the (obvious) default password? Why is your data so important, yet when asked if a recovered file looks about right your users can never tell? Why do so many of your users think that the "please back up your work" dialogue that you give them is OK to ignore? Most of all, why is your default backup location in "All Users"? Yes, I know I should have checked but I was way behind on creating an image and not best pleased by having to stop to re-image a user borked laptop.
sparkeh Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Hallelujah brother! I also hate this with a passion.
Mcshammer_dj Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Agree with all the above Simple to move (just in case you haven't seen this) with a .txt file called datafolder in the "all users\application data\fsm\version3" with the text drive name\folder name and it will copy the data to a server location 1
LeMarchand Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 Thanks for that (though 'tis somewhat late now ). I will no doubt have to go around to each of them soon to export the end of year data (because it's WAY too hard for them to cope with a few clicks) and I will sort that one out. Probably quicker than scripting it as it's only 2 users/site.
