Project Officer (UKSIC)

 

Salary: £19,621 (Depending on experience)

Contract Term: Up to 12 month fixed term contract (Maternity Cover)

Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) Monday - Friday

Location: Exeter

The South West Grid for Learning (SWGfL) is a not for profit charity set up by the 15 local authorities in the South West to provide maintained schools and other educational establishments throughout the region with safe, secure and reliable internet connectivity; broadband-enabled learning resources and services; help, support and advice in using the internet safely.

 

The UK Safer Internet Centre Team (UKSIC) is currently looking for a Project Officer to join them to provide high quality and efficient administration and reception support. The ideal candidate must hold GCSE maths and English or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years work experience in a project support or an office/administration environment.

 

They must also be able to demonstrate experience in the use of computerised systems including word processing, spreadsheets and outlook, the ability to maintain secure document management systems and have experience of providing customer service support face to face and over the telephone. The candidate must also have the ability to communicate and work effectively with others, work to conflicting sets of priorities, be flexible and adaptable and remain calm under pressure, demonstrate sound interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication and be able to listen well and understand the needs of a wide range of individuals. They must also be confident to fit in with the team and develop effective and supportive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
