RM CC4 - Rebuild workstations as Windows 7 Professional

Hi

 

I recently tried to rebuild a room of 10 rm desktops to windows 7 from windows XP as a test for the summer. We have successfully deployed windows 7 to 4 dell machines in our office. But the RM's are failing the install and just load up the windows 7 login screen with administrator as the user asking to log in. When you do no packages or anything have installed and a restart just gets you back to the administrator login.

 

Has anyone had a similar issue?

Have you checked Device Manager that all drivers - especially Ethernet drivers have been installed?

 

Windows 7 has a great driver database (compared to XP), but it doesn't install everything out the box!

Have you also checked that all driver packs have been installed for CC4? Another thing to note is, have you included the drivers into the build disk?

Have you created a new build disk and using that, or are you simply going through the rebuild option? Might be worth creating new build media if that is what you use or recreating the PXE stuff.

Sounds like you are missing the driver pack for that type of RM machine
