Hi everyone

It seems sensible that you can run a report and filter against a User Defined Group in SIMS - but I can't fathom out how to do it? Any advice appreciated please.

Thanks

Yep, same as any other report really but depends on what your overall report is doing as to how you find it. Here's an example of a photo report i do, for UDG .

Okay, to be fair, i guess it comes under the advanced reporting manual, where you select another table of information and do a sub-query on it, as you can see in the image.

Let me know if you need more help on how to do that.

Hi

I've just been trying user defined groups to target a set of pupils to report on.

I tried the query the other way round:

I focussed on the Group and then reported on students details within the group.

It seemed to work a bit faster than doing it Focus on students and then filter by group membership

Hope this helps (although the thread is 10 months old)

Regards

Phil
