I found treasure!

Treasure / a few dozen of these: New Dell Axim X30 Handheld | Dell UK

 

I've asked a few of the staff, no one has seen them before. They were in a box in one of the cupboards..mysteriously without a past. Never used.

 

All have Windows Mobile 2003 on them... anyone have any ideas what I could use them for? I don't have the heart to throw them

Wow, what a find. I supported a few staff that had these, and quite good they were too. Not cheap either IIRC. These days they won't be worth very much, in fact I can see them going on eBay for £20-£30. There must have been quite a few thousand pounds spent on these back then, are you sure no-one knows anything about them? It sounds like a bulk purchase for staff to me, but what a waste if never used!

I lusted after one of those, they were a great piece of kit. What a waste just being stuffed in a cupboard. Loads you could do with them.

I've been playing around with one and to be honest I love the little thing, I just can't find a use for it! It's like a smart phone without the phone and not as smart

photo frames, RSS Readers, you could turn them into a sign for your office door. (IN/OUT). I use an old Loox PDA to store my CD Keys and passwords as it has a pin entry making slightly better than a bit of paper.
