kyounger Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 outlook wont allow emails to be moved to different folders I have a Google synced Outlook 2007 account that is not allowing email to be moved amongst different folders. Any particular email can only be moved once and any further attempts to manipulate its location following that is prevented. There are no apparent error codes that are associated with this (I.E no warning pop ups) and it’s the only machine that is doing soon the domain. So I am trying to figure out what might be causing it. I have however discovered one work around but the client is not satisfied with it. If we restart his Outlook then he can move the email in question one more time. So my question is, could there be a fix for this short of reinstalling Outlook? I am fearful that if I back up the folders and database then when a reload it the problem will be transferred over to the fresh install.
SYNACK Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 How is it synced, using POP3, IMAP or some Google addon. Also do you have all the service packs installed for 2007, I think there are two and a stack of hotfixes by now.
kyounger Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 Opps forgot to add that. The system is using MAPI "Messaging Application Programming Interface" with an alias pop account.
