You would be amazed how many pub game machines/other kiosks are still running off of 2000 - but then again I read once that some air plane inflight entertainment systems run off Windows 98......

My father owns a pub and the jukebox is running XP...which alarms me to a degree as the only way to shut it down it is turn off at the plug, no option to access a menu or whatever to do it properly. One of these days its going to go wrong. Quite a few quiz machines that I have come across use a Linux build…which would save on licensing costs I guess. The touch screen tills in the canteen here still use Windows 2000.

I can't say I'm surprised. The missus works for a bank in the City, and they cleared the last of their NT servers and workstations in Q2/2011.

LOL I thought the same thing. I also wondered by he didn't try pressing some of the buttons, would have been interesting to see whether they are bound to 'real' functions...
