Evening all,

Bit of a strange one. We've had iTunes installed on a few of our staff laptops and we've never had any issues before but on this one particular laptop iTunes fails to start unless run as a local admin.

Giving myself (or whoever) local admin rights doesn't seem to fix the issue and reinstalling hasn't fixed it either!

Has anyone had this problem before? A quick google doesn't bring up anything useful.

What operating system and 32 or 64 bit ie windows 7 32 bit ?

Also if you remove iTunes altogether and re download the installer ( latest version ) and re install, presuming it is still the same issue ?

So it is not a question of the account having local admin rights, iTunes only works on the one account "Administrator"?

Have you tried with another local account, either administrator or limited?

Must be something new with the most recent version. I downloaded 10.5 and installed it and it ran perfectly fine. Uninstalled and reinstalled the most recent version and it failed to work again. So yeah... back to 10.5 and it works fine so I'll stick with that.
