I just recived an email from Helene Moran [[email protected]] claiming to be asking people to fill out survey, for a chance at a prize, on behalf of BETT.

As a thank you for your time, we will enter your name into a prize draw to win £750 either for you personally or as a donation to your school.

Apparently, it's for a company called Shift Learning, but I'm not 100% that it's legit. [in and of itself.]

At the bottom of the e-mail is an unsubscribe link, but all it's for is snapsurveys.

BETT was over 2 months ago... And I pretty sure I got something like this back then.

Is this legit?

Le Pre-post edit: Helene Moran DOES appear to be on their website as co-director [inculding a picture... Which I approve of.]

and my name is David Cameron, please complete my Survey to express your views on this country?

Just because it says it is from her, is it really?

Hence, the thread.

My shenanigans sense was tingling, but not enough to hit delete straight away.

Lol! The first question asks in what capacity I attended BETT. I clicked 'Exhibitor' to be greeted with:

Thank you for your interest in this eSurvey. Unfortunately on this ocassion you do not fit the criteria for this survey.

So why did you send me the email then!!

Did you apply for a second badge @Dos_Box ?

I know a few on the edugeek stand had more than one.

I got it too, and it does look genuine to me, genuine as in a genuine marketing survey. Probably wont bother completing it though - a minute/no chance of winning £750 is not really worth future spam

We use the exhibitors booking system. It has a flaw however in that should we book, for example, 10 badges for stand staff then later on find we need two more, it will add on the original amount again and we end up with 22, 20 of which are duplicates.
