cant find .nk2 pesky files on machine

Afternoon chaps and chapesses,

 

I am trying to locate the Outlook 2007 autocomplete file (.nk2) which much exist somewhere locally on a PC which when outlook is running the autocomplete function works as it should.

 

I have tried C:\docs & sets\profile name\application data\outlook where it should be located, but there is no .nk2 file there.

 

Can anyone else help me on this please?

Any registry keys that may give you an idea of nk2 files location ?

Can't remember which level it is, but you should have both a roaming and local folder option, it should be in the roaming side of it.

Hi mac_shinobi, yep the only show in the registry is the folder for the file extension for some reason

You mean on windows 7, if so then the path will be something along the lines of :

 

C:\Users\\AppData --> which gives you the local and Roaming​ folders

But it's XP, so it *should* be exactly where andy described.

Im genuinely stumped on this, it must exist somewhere or the autocomplete wouldn't function lol

*update* still don't know where they are located - however, ive just used a little exe called nk2view and it found it straight away Handy Harry!
