Looks cool.

More hours [and money :)] than I'm on currently... shame it's so far away.

Also, "Be flexible to cater for the schools needs."

Why do I read this as "if we want [new toy] you WILL sort out the inevitable problems, which have top priority, until we get bored of it or realise it was a bad idea. For which you will be blamed. We also won't listen when you forewarn us about anything"?

Perhaps, I've been working in a school too long...

The school is located about a 15 minute walk away from Alton Train Station which has links to London Waterloo (around 1 hour and 10 minutes).

Farnham, Guilford, Aldershot and Woking are fairly large towns in commuting distance.

Alton is slightly quiet, but we have a very nice working environment to make up for it :) (including free biscuits in the staff room). The school also offers 28 days paid annual leave (excluding bank holidays).

I went down there last year when they interviewed for the Network Manager post. It's a really nice school with a great atmosphere.

Not quite sure how two people are going to fit into the IT Support office though!!

We have expanded IT widely across the school with plans to do so even more this year, I now have a large IT support office with enough room for two people :) and space to setup new equipment.

It'd take me over an hour just to get Waterloo. [1 bus + 2 trains.]

Add on the journey from Waterloo to Alton [~1 hour 10mins]

Total journey time is about 2 and a half hours.

Starting time of 8:20, means I'd have to leave around... 5 O'clock in the AM. [Which leaves time for delays, walking and waking the [censored] up.]

Too damn far.

I worked at Alton Convent School previously to Alex, and can vouch for it being a nice place to work, with nice people to work with.
