  1. Hi, Sorry for the delay, SMT has informed me that the salary will be £25,000 subject to review after six months. Unofficially – I would still put in an application if it’s too low as it gives them more options. Thanks, Alex
  2. The salary will be confirmed on Monday.
  3. Hello all, I am moving to London to take on a new post, so my post as Network Manager at Alton Convent School is now available. Further details on the post can be found on the schools website Staff Vacancies – Alton Convent School If you have any questions please feel free to PM me or post here. Many thanks, Alex Illsley
  4. We have expanded IT widely across the school with plans to do so even more this year, I now have a large IT support office with enough room for two people and space to setup new equipment.
  5. The school is located about a 15 minute walk away from Alton Train Station which has links to London Waterloo (around 1 hour and 10 minutes). Farnham, Guilford, Aldershot and Woking are fairly large towns in commuting distance. Alton is slightly quiet, but we have a very nice working environment to make up for it (including free biscuits in the staff room). The school also offers 28 days paid annual leave (excluding bank holidays).

  8. Thanks, look forward to playing with a smoothwall. In my current job we use one of your rivals (Censornet)
  9. Yea, that lunch was great I think it was a one off though., unless.... We have not arranged a date yet. Once I get the employment contract and my manager from my current job returns from his holdiay (next week). Then it will be about 3-4 weeks from then.
  10. Thanks Nope, intresting way to use a coffee table though I will have to pop down to Ikea more often.
  11. Thanks gotenks1321, I wish you good luck in finding a new job. I look forward to working at Alton Convent, it looks like an exciting move as I will be in charge of the IT rather than having to ask my manager before making changes, etc. The increase in salary also means I should now be able to rent somewhere which will be exciting. The school has a very nice premises, envionment and staff and it should be a great job. I guess my current position will be up for grabs soon then.
  12. I like taking control of students computers quietly when they are playing games and press random keys so that they loose the game. Once it says game over, I ban the site
