I'm sure I've seen some portable green screens (for chroma-keying) (of the pop-up variety) in various catalogues but now, when I come to actually want to buy one for a school, I can't find any (<£zillion).

Anyone help please?

PS Not ebay :)

Might be worth thinking about the "glass curtain" type of screen and a LED light on the front of the camera - apparently this kind of set up is more forgiving of the potentially sub-ideal lighting that a portable set up might suffer from.

I seen those, looked very good, but when I looked at sourcing them, they cost a fortune. May have come done in price now though.

I was looking into doing this a while back, have a look on you tube there are some vids telling you how to get good results without too much cost. Just bare in mind you will need more space then you think. Edited by K.C.Leblanc

Perusing on my iPhone.. But did a quick Google Shopping Search and came up with Chromakey Green Screen Kit 1000 Watt Video Lighting Kit Photo Studio Kit Umbrella Softbox Kit By Fancier K115 Kit, Jane's Tote

I Googled Chroma Key Green Screen.

There seems to be a lot more too. That's just the first result for a full screen kit. Might be worth trying somewhere like Jessops for Business and Education (if you visit the normal Jessops.com site you'll find the contact info for business and education there. I'll try and dig it out for you later if not).

Sorry<£zillion equates to <£100 on my budget :)

Just after the screen - I'm sure I've seen some sort of kiddie type play tent thingy somewhere .

I do have a "proper" green screen cloth but its not very managble taking it around schools without an iron and ironing board as it gets very creased:)

I think you missed the <£zillion bit :)

Oops. Well, our starter package (not really a package - just what we bought to implement on day 1!) included HD Camera, Tripod, MovieBox software, Telestream wirecast software, 13" macbook pro, the Chromoflex silver popup screen and floor material, cable set, handheld and boom mic, 23" TV, 4 sets of lights, Installation delivery and configuration + training all for just over 7k.

If you wanted the real basics and a DIY job then you could probably just get the camera, LED ring, material and cable set for around £3k

Although I've seen a complete tent type one as well somewhere :)

No worries .. :) The only tent style ones I can see are the really small "I take photos for eBay" kind of ones ..
