TechSupp Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Is there any restriction on connecting to an exchange server for email etc with regard to the version of outlook I am using (2003)? Having issues at home getting my account to verify me yet have managed to set it up via iPod and android phone just fine. Bit mystified as to why Outlook is giving me grief.
sukh Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Depending on the version of exchange yes. But by default all are allowed? How are you connecting to Exch? OA? What version?
Davit2005 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 We had issue with Outlook 2003 connecting to Exchange 2007, something todo with Public Folders I seem to remember.
TechSupp Posted March 15, 2012 Author Posted March 15, 2012 Sorry dont know version as its the council setup, just seems strange can do it with everything else just not fromboutlook itself! If i cant get it going so be it i suppose, just annoying.
sukh Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 It depends how it's been setup, also how you're connecting, from home I would assume OA. You need to find out otherwsie you wouldn't know hot to setup OLK.

Can you post a screen shot of the OWA logon screen, (without any URL identifyers of course) as from what I remember we may me able to work out what exchange server they are using as the logon screens between 2003 and 2007 look different.
sukh Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Or just send yourself an email and have alook at the message headers, it will show the Exch version
