SteveBentley Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Let's hope it works better than some of their previous efforts - persuading my Archos 101 to charge is fun (it needs a certain ambient temperature to charge which is higher than I generally like the house to be, so I either have to turn up the heating or leave the Archos on top of the Sky box, which runs a little warm)

That's mental!
SteveBentley Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Nope, it's a well documented problem. Some people think it's a miscalibrated temp sensor inside the unit, others think the charger supplied is dodgy.
Oaktech Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 i trialled an archos media player with a multi flash card reader built into it for photography purposes a couple of years ago, before android really came along and the hardware at the time was very good and the build quality was excellent, but the software interface was just so bad i didn't buy the unit. I'd be very interested to see one of these in the flesh.
