AD-GP testing environments

i know i could probably set up some VMware or simuilar to do this but i dont have the install disk for server 2008R2 and would rather do it online.

 

Is there anywhere online prefrably free that you can log on to to practice using active directories and group policies. Im doing a lot of my learning on the job on a live environment mainly its just software installs.

 

But would like to learn more about locking things down etc but obviously not on a works computer.

 

Is microsoft labs any good?

You can download/install a 2008 R2 trial which is free.

 

By setting up a test domain (completely separate), you can then start learning about it.
